The takeover of the healthcare system by the current administration was greatly
frustrated by the “Tea Parties” and the march on Washington on Sept. 12. BUT,
there is a huge effort to regain the momentum to push the bill through. YOUR
phone call NOW will be like pouring water on a smoldering fire – PLEASE CALL!
My point is this: Yes, we can make improvements in the healthcare and health
insurance delivery systems – but we do not need to do the radical makeover and
place them in Washington’s hands as is planned now.
My reasons? There are many, but here are a couple. President Obama himself said
there is $500 billion in corruption and fraud in Medicare. Well, why create
another agency that will simply do the same thing? In fact, show me the $500
billion savings by correcting the problem and THEN I’ll consider supporting some
other program.
Similarly, we all know that both Medicare and Social Security are going
bankrupt. Why give government ANOTHER major area to be incompetent with?
Please call and leave a simple message AGAINST Obama’s healthcare plan with our
Kentucky Congressmen and Senators: [Note: There are only two that are seriously
considering supporting Obama’s plan – Con. Yarmuth (Louisville) is probably 100%
for it, but Con. Chandler (Lexington) may be persuaded away.]
